About The Event:
20 volunteers will partner with Mobile Loaves & Fishes at Community First! Village where you can make a direct impact through various activities such as laying pathways, harvesting gardens, tending to our chicken coop, and more.
REQUIRED: In addition to RSVPing with us, complete registration for Community First! here by 9 AM, January 3rd, 2026. Failure to do so will forfeit your participation in the event.
After the event, we will be socializing at Sign Bar with food and #volunbeers!

Additional Information:
Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes, long pants or tall socks with shorts are required.
What to Bring: Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and work/gardening gloves (optional, some will be provided).
Meeting Point: The Welcome Center (the big red building facing the parking lot)
Parking: Main parking lot on CFV Hog Eye North (9116 Hog Eye Road, Austin, TX 78724), located across from Welcome Center. Map for reference below.
Weather Notice: In case of inclement weather, cancellations will be communicated by 7:00 am on the day of the event. All registered participants will receive an email notification.

Founded in Austin, Texas, Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF) is a Christian social outreach ministry that has been empowering communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless since 1998.
As a result of the multitude of connections we’ve made with our homeless neighbors, we’ve learned that the single greatest cause of homelessness is a profound, catastrophic loss of family. It’s from this understanding that MLF’s vision emerged to build Community First! Village to welcome home our friends who had been pushed to the fringe of society.
Often referred to as the most talked about neighborhood in Austin, Community First! Village is a master planned development that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness.
More than two decades ago, Mobile Loaves & Fishes’ founders boldly answered God’s call to “love your neighbor as yourself.”
