VU_ATX x Austin Humane Society

Join us on November 9th as we volunteer with Austin Humane Society to complete a variety of tasks such as  cleaning the free roaming cat rooms, cleaning windows, stuffing Kongs (will involve peanut butter), cleaning animal carriers/dens, laundry and dishes, organizing pet food bags, sweeping and mopping, folding newspapers, and washing the inside and outside of our kennel vans(weather permitting). We will start the day with a tour of the shelter and information about our mission and will conclude with some time for animal cuddles! Volunteers are required to wear closed toed shoes, pants or shorts are okay, and shirts can have short or long sleeves.

The Austin Humane Society is the the longest-standing no-kill, non-profit pet and adoption center in Austin. They're dedicated to saving Austin’s homeless cats and dogs, educating our community about responsible pet ownership, and reducing pet overpopulation.

After the event, we'll be socializing at Black Star Co-op Pub & Brewery for some #volunbeers!
